McDonald's Reveals Smoky BLT Quarter Pounder

McDonald's is cooking up something new and it's SMOKIN'!

McDonald's Reveals Smoky BLT Quarter Pounder
The new Smoky BLT Quarter Pounder from McDonald's made with applewood smoked bacon, a creamy smoke sauce, lettuce and tomatoes.

McDonald's just pulled the wraps off of their latest sandwich and it's a gosh darn smoke show! Literally. The Smoky BLT Quarter Pounder is a smoky twist on an old favorite.

In addition to the same all beef patties, sesame seed and American cheese that you'll find on the OG Quarter Pounder with Cheese, the Smoky BLT Quarter Pounder adds applewood smoked bacon, a smoky sauce, shredded lettuce and Roma tomatoes.

Most of the time, a smoky sauce ends up being a smoky barbecue sauce. However, McDonald's went a different route with the Smoky BLT Quarter Pounder. This smoky sauce is white and doesn't contain the same ingredients you'd expect to find in a barbecue sauce, such as tomatoes.

Instead, this smoky sauce is white and creamy, with a vegetable oil and sour cream base. Flavor comes courtesy of smoke flavor, lemon juice, paprika and other natural flavors.

The smoke from the sauce and the smoked bacon should give this Quarter Pounder a little more flavor than your average Quarter Pounder, and may even make it taste like it was cooked on a good ol' fashioned charcoal barbecue.

The Smoky BLT Quarter Pounder is available as a single (770 calories) or double cheeseburger (990 calories). It'll only be around for a limited time, so hurry over to your local Mickey D's before this offer goes up in smoke!
