Bust out the party hats and streamers because this year the Shamrock Shake turns 50 years old! To celebrate this minty milestone, McDonald's is adding a second Shamrock dessert to the menu: The Oreo Shamrock McFlurry.
Beginning February 19, 2020, both the Oreo Shamrock McFlurry and the Shamrock Shake will be available at McDonald's locations nationwide.
The Oreo Shamrock McFlurry is vanilla soft serve ice cream blended with McDonald's "Shamrock flavor" (AKA, mint) and pieces of Oreo cookies.
These St. Patrick's Day themed desserts may have nothing to do with Ireland, but does it matter? The answer is no. So put on your "Kiss me I'm Irish" shirt and head on down to McDonald's and get yourself a Shamrock Shake or an Oreo Shamrock McFlurry!
